COURSE DETAILS
Shamrock Training offers Dogman Ticket training at our practical training facility in Brisbane. The course includes the nationally recognised unit CPCCLDG3001 and is designed to help students build the skills and knowledge required for dogging work.
The Dogging course is delivered over 5 days, combining classroom-based learning with practical, hands-on training. Students must be 18 years or older, have basic English literacy skills, and provide the required forms of identification. The final day includes the High Risk Work Licence assessment.
A Dogman is responsible for selecting and inspecting lifting gear, applying slinging techniques, and directing crane operators when loads are outside the operator’s clear view. A Rigger can perform dogging tasks as well as additional work such as installing structural steel, hoists, safety nets and perimeter screens. In Queensland, you generally need to complete a Dogging licence before moving into Basic Rigging.
Yes. After successfully completing your assessment, you will need to apply directly to Workplace Health and Safety Queensland for your High Risk Work Licence. This licence application has a separate government fee, and the application must be submitted within the required timeframe after your assessment.
Students travelling from regional areas or interstate may contact Shamrock Training to discuss available support options before booking. Availability may vary, so it is best to get in touch early to confirm what arrangements can be made.
